We’re looking for a mid-senior level engineer to be part of our growing team of technologists. As a SDE III, you’ll write software alongside a team of global engineers on projects that matter to our customers and business travelers, and have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers. If you’re passionate about directly contributing to technical challenges, interested in the travel industry, and enjoy owning larger features that make an impact, we look forward to meeting you.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and implement next-generation highly scalable, and reliable SaaS applications
- Translate functional specifications into logical, component-based technical designs
- Own delivery of application features end-to-end by working with product and engineering teams
- Innovate and implement new ideas to solve software problems and improve customer experience
- Participate in design and code reviews
- Work closely with geographically distributed team members
- Mentor, support and develop junior engineers
- Seek and share domain and industry knowledge with the team to improve engineering practices
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in software development
- Strong understanding of distributed systems
- Building and delivering multi-tenant cloud-native SaaS software
- Passionate about collaboration and incorporating feedback from partners
- Communicates complex information in a concise and clear way to technical and non-technical partners
Core Skills and Knowledge Areas:
- Front-end web technologies (JavaScript, Node, or React)
- Enterprise web applications (Java, Kotlin, or Spring) are a big plus
- Object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms
- SDLC and agile methodologies, and agile tools and programming practices
- CI-CD principles and technologies
- AWS services and building employment pipelines
