Reporting to the Director of Global Business Partnerships, this is a highly visible & integral role within Global Business Partnerships (GBP), which generates revenue through negotiating supplier agreements that deliver value to GBT. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end management of a portfolio of suppliers, securing Private Fare Content, selling Media & Marketing, driving business planning & development activities and value delivery execution.
This is a multifaceted end to end supplier management role encompassing supplier negotiations, contract execution, business development and other key supplier relations initiatives.
What you'll do- Manage supplier relationships: develop and nurture supplier relationships outside of traditional sales channels.
- Effective Negotiations: negotiate supplier commercial agreements on behalf of the GBT network.
- Manage the delivery of the supplier value proposition building strategies to support negotiations.
- Drive Increased Revenue: identify, sell and drive execution of additional supplier revenue opportunities.
- Responsible for broadening / deepening total revenue.
- Ensure business development commitments to suppliers are executed.
- Track & report portfolio performance.
- Negotiate supplier participation in key events.
- Support/coordinate sponsorship sourcing for key meeting and events.
- Collaborate cross functionally and cross regionally with Traveller Care, Client Management, Sales, Revenue Management, M&E, Supplier Optimisation, Global Business Consulting in order to align strategies, drive engagement and optimize results.
- Consultative selling & negotiation skills. Proven track record in driving successful negotiations at senior level.
- Skilled project manager. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and drive results on time and on plan.
- Strong team player and influencer. Gains buy-in and engagement (internally and externally) through collaboration.
- Must be highly analytical to maximize reporting tools.
- High degree of financial acumen with a commercial mind set with proven ability to translate data into conclusions and actionable recommendations.
- Intuitive understanding of technology – GDS, Point of Sale tools, online booking tools.
- Strong oral and written communications skills including aptitude for formal presentations.
- Excellent relationship building, collaboration and influencing skills at all levels.
- An understanding and knowledge of the travel and/or travel supplier industry highly desirable.
- Excellent Power Point and excel skills.
- Outcome orientated with proven track record in driving best in class results.
