The Commercial Director, Global Travel for Meetings (T4M) will report into the Vice President, Global Business Enablement, Centers of Excellence and Travel for Meetings focused on the growth and expansion strategy and execution for global Travel for Meetings / Group Travel. This requires an innovative consultative leader that possesses strong sales and collaboration acumen. The role also requires formidable leadership skills to guide a team to embody the above. Success in this position will be measured by revenue growth, profitability, customer satisfaction and employee engagement.
What you will do:- Accountable for T4M client acquisition goals in collaboration with the various GBT sales and account management teams.
- Develop creative value pricing strategies for new or existing accounts that contribute to the profitability of the segment.
- Build strong relationships with clients, BT sales and client management as well as M&E sales and account management.
- Expand relationships with internal business partners across the GMN organization to drive cross-selling.
- Interface with T4M Operations.
- Oversee AOP targets for T4M revenues, including both new business development and expansion targets.
- Lead a highly engaged commercial team to deliver strong new sales and expansion growth as well as positive engagement scores and high satisfaction from customers.
- Must have a minimum of 10 years of global management experience.
- Existing knowledge of Business Travel and/or Meetings & Events, as well as proven consultative leadership and sales experience.
- Strong financial acumen and analytical mindset required to leverage the key drivers of profitability.
- Drive results by challenging the status quo, championing new initiatives and implementing effective processes.
- A sophisticated range of communication and presentation skills to present T4M’s value proposition in a simple and compelling way to a wide variety of audiences.
- Ability to manage complexity of needs and provide appropriate prioritization to ensure client needs are addressed.
- Inspirational leader able to communicate, motivate, and effectively lead change with all levels of employee seniority.
- Highly collaborative with proven success working in matrixed environments.
- Fluency in English required. Multilingual is a plus.
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.
