Overview

In this role you guide economic analysis within CRA’s European competition practice. You will work on research-driven projects with senior consultants, regulators, and clients to shape expert insights. You will design models, perform econometric analyses, and help present conclusions in reports and white papers. The position emphasizes mentoring junior analysts and acting as a primary client contact, with opportunities to contribute to practice-building initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Conduct research in a team-oriented environment alongside experts and regulators
  • Identify issues, design economic models, and manage the research process
  • Supervise, train and mentor junior analysts
  • Assist in development and presentation of client deliverables (expert reports, white papers)
  • Act as primary point of contact for attorneys and clients on practice-relevant issues
  • Program, build models and/or perform regression analyses in statistical tools (Stata, SAS, Python, R, MATLAB, Mathematica)
  • Ensure integrity and accuracy of analyses and opinions
  • Participate in practice-building activities (training, recruiting, expertise sharing)
  • Minimal travel as work is primarily in-office

Key requirements

  • Ph.D. or ABD in economics, finance, or accounting (or closely aligned field)
  • expertise in industrial organization, applied microeconomics, econometrics, labor, health, IP, pricing, corporate finance, or quantitative areas
