Newmarket Equine Hospital is seeking an experienced and highly motivated
Equine Anaesthetist to join our multidisciplinary team of hospital specialists.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic clinician to lead a busy equine anaesthesia service, with a diverse caseload ranging from routine elective procedures to complex and emergency referral surgeries.
The Role
Responsibilities will include
- Provision of anaesthesia and analgesia for a broad range of surgical and diagnostic procedures.
- Develop and implement anaesthetic and analgesic protocols tailored to individual patients and procedures.
- Provide anaesthesia training and ongoing support to our team of intern veterinary surgeons
- Participation in the hospital out-of-hours and emergency rota.
- Participate in clinical rounds, case discussions, and continuing education activities.
- Help maintain and develop clinical standards and hospital protocols.
About You
Applications are welcomed from candidates who are
- Diplomates of the European or American Colleges of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia (ECVAA/ACVAA) or hold an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Residency-trained and board-eligible candidates will also be considered.
- Enthusiastic team players with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
