Overview
The People Operations Manager is responsible for the operational oversight and execution of People Operations and People Care functions. This role ensures seamless delivery of HR services across recruiting, onboarding, benefits, payroll, performance management, and offboarding. The ideal candidate will bring balanced expertise in HR, HR systems, and service management, with a strong focus on continuous improvement, employee experience, and operational excellence. This role will report to the Sr. Director of People Operations and Digital Transformation.
Responsibilities
- People Operations and Service Delivery
- Lead and manage the People Care/Operations team members, ensuring high-quality operations support and service delivery across all HR functions.
- Oversee day-to-day triage and delivery of operational support for recruiting, onboarding, benefits, payroll, talent management, and offboarding processes.
- Manage service management platforms to triage, track, resolve, and improve employee support requests.
- Support global HR operations and ensure alignment with local compliance and cultural expectations.
- Strengthen rigor and core capabilities within a new established team
- People Technology Administration
- Serve as primary administrator for HR Technology Solutions (UKG, Success Factors, Nectar, LinkedIn Learning)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, compliance, and process optimization across HR systems.
- Lead or support release deployments, system enhancements, and integrations.
- Support and ensure successful execution of recurring HR events (merit increases, performance pay, open enrollment, etc.) by coordinating system readiness and record management
- Continuous Improvement
- Monitor and analyze operational metrics to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead or support continuous improvement related to HR technology, processes, and people experience.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and best practices in HR operations and shared services.
- Data Protection and Compliance
- Improve and establish processes with a focus on data protection, access control, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA)
- Conduct regular review of information and access management
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems
- Minimum 3 years of experience in HR shared services, recruiting ops, payroll, benefits, or generalist role.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on configuration experience with UKG Pro (Recruiting, Onboarding, People Center, Pay, WFM, Document Manager)
- Minimum 1 Year of supervisory experience preferably in a multinational capacity
- Familiarity with HR compliance, data privacy, and audit requirements.
- Experience in a global HR operations environment.
- Proficiency in service management systems such as Jira Service Desk, Zendesk, ServiceNow or equivalent.
- Proficiency in project and work management tools (Asana, Smartsheet, Jira Project)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and evolving environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- HR Certification (PHR, SHRM-CP)
- Project Management Certification (PMP, Prince2)
- Business or Process Analysis Certification (Lean Six Sigma, CBPA)
- Experience with mid-to-large-scale HCM implementations (Workday, UKG, Dayforce)
Travel
Ability to travel up to 5% of the time for business needs, team meetings, or professional development
This position has been approved for remote work, and a reasonable rate of compensation is between $135,000 – 145,000.
