What You Will Do:
- Lead a project to eliminate historic inter‑company balances, except those required to remain for regulatory or other commercial reasons.
- Develop a process and policy to document such balances and settle or offset them appropriately.
- Lead a multidisciplinary project team consisting of finance and other stakeholders, including legal where necessary, to obtain data, execute transactions and prepare documentation.
- Collaborate with a network of long‑standing advisors familiar with the organization’s operations.
- Travel as required, including to Houston, TX and other locations, to work with local accounting teams and report to senior finance leadership.
What You Will Need:
- University degree or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in financial management.
- Experience managing and delivering complex, cross‑functional, international projects.
- ICAEW or equivalent affiliation preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:
- Extensive accounting experience in an international environment and in senior financial management roles.
- Excellent managerial skills in team development, organization, negotiation, relationship building, planning and implementation.
- Highly developed analytical, supervisory and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with computerized accounting systems, preferably Oracle.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills; able to present complex financial information to management.
- Familiarity with foreign taxation and foreign exchange issues.
- Working knowledge of the organization’s Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Management System.
Reporting Relationships: The incumbent reports to the Director of Tax and works within a project team that includes individuals from many backgrounds.
