Oxford Forge is looking for specialized individuals, who are eager to have hands-on experience and have a learning attitude. This position is mainly looking for individuals who can work off shifts (2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM and 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM). The starting wage for Manufacturing Technician (In Training) is $21.96 plus a shift premium for off shifts.
Required Skills and Education:
- Operating presses that forge steel, automatic or manual
- Driving Forklifts
- Sorting of parts
- Checking Quality on all products
- Ensuring a safe work environment
- This position requires frequent standing, bending, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and carrying. It also requires occasional driving of a hi-lo.
- Required to be able to perform work on ladders and platforms. Must have good balance and physical agility.
- Must be able to work for prolonged durations for equipment repairs and job changeovers.
- Working environment is a manufacturing facility with heavy equipment/machinery. Thus, requires exposure to high/low temperatures and loud noises.
- Mental demands include problem solving, decision making and occasional supervision.
