Responsible for managing a mixed portfolio of business & leisure agencies & local Corporate customers in your assigned country or region. This role is responsible for identifying revenue opportunities and delivering revenue and share growth for the AJB, while raising the awareness of the AA brand and network in the local market. You will work closely with our JB partners across the region. This role is also responsible for managing all aspects of marketing & promotional activities for these trade and corporate accounts. A structured account development plan will be essential to ensure commercial objectives are achieved. This role will be responsible for analysis and providing data/account reviews on a regular basis for top accounts, jointly with JB partners. This role will also be responsible for representing AA in the local country, managing relationships with several local CVB’s and to engage with local travel associations. This role will be based in one of our key French markets, with the location sitting in France.
What you'll do
- To account manage a portfolio of Agency and Corporate, collaboratively with JB partners to maximize revenue and profitability.
- To focus on customer performance via reporting & analysis and identify opportunities.
- To conduct partnership performance reviews (QBRs) to ensure targets are being met and relevant AA updates are shared effectively.
- To deliver high impact presentations and reviews to senior management level with agency and corporate customers.
- To identify and participate in targeted customer and community events.
- To prioritize time on revenue opportunities & account performance to maximize results.
- To effectively execute value-based selling, account strategy, planning.
- To understand the competitive landscape and work with AJB stakeholders to ensure AJB products and agreements are competitive.
- To work collaboratively with all key stakeholders within AA and across our JB partners.
- To maintain expertise in both AA and alliance products and services, including oneworld and JB partners (British Airways, Iberia and Finnair).
- Tailor the market offering to meet specific account needs.
- Communicates in a compelling way and provides proof of value to the customer.
- To engage and collaborate with AA Sales Service team.
- To conduct discussions with customers to understand their view and increase mutual value.
- To update AA Saleshub with all Account planners & activities for all customers within the portfolio.
All you'll need for success
- Prior Airline, GDS, or related travel industry account management experience.
- Strong leadership and motivation skills.
- Strong administrative, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commercial acumen and communication skills.
- Extensive business to business experience in both Leisure & OTAs environment.
- Superior organizational / planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive business professional that thrives on challenging the status quo.
- Ability to work independently and across different cultures.
- Excellent strategic and analytical skills.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making ability.
- Self-motivated, and possess a positive attitude.
- Thorough knowledge of indirect sales, the travel industry, and airline economics.
- Travel required within the UK/EU and to North America.
