Position Summary: We are currently recruiting for a Fabricator to join our existing production team within our Power & Industrial (P&I) division based in Cramlington, Northumberland. The successful candidate will be a valuable part of the team, ensuring our production quotas are met in a timely fashion while observing the highest standards of safety and quality.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Follow all company health, safety, environmental and quality procedures.
  • Manufacture assemblies to technical specifications in line with AAF standards.
  • Weld passivation in accordance with AAF standards.
  • Packing of N-hance projects in accordance with AAF standards.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Report any defects, non-conformities, equipment issues or safety concerns to management.
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation as required.
  • Ensure work areas are kept clean, organised and compliant with 5S housekeeping standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process.
  • Assist with loading, unloading and movement of materials and finished products when required.

Person Specification:

Education, Qualifications and Affiliations

  • Essential: Apprenticeship in Fabrication, Welding or a related engineering discipline.
  • Desirable: BTEC National Certificate

*Qualifications may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Experience

  • Essential: Demonstrable experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Proven experience as a Fabricator or similar position.
  • Previous experience of working in a manufacturing/engineering company.
  • Computer literate and able to use a wide range of software packages.
  • Demonstrable practical TIG welding experience.
  • Desirable: Previous experience gained within the industry or similar industries.
  • Experience of MIG welding.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.

Licences or Certifications

  • Essential: Eligible to work in the UK.
  • TIG welding qualification or demonstrable practical experience.
  • Desirable: MIG welding qualification.
  • Valid passport.
  • Full driving license.
  • Forklift license.
  • Industry Standard Certificates: i.e. First Aid, IOSH Working Safely etc.
