Amergis Staffing is currently seeking experienced and qualified Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for a Correctional facility in the Newport, NC area. The details for these positions are as follows:

The Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse works in close and immediate contact with adults and children in custody on a daily basis providing general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatory section of the Corrections Facility while maintaining facility security standards.

Position Details

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Shift/Schedule: Days- 6a-2:30p, Monday-Friday
  • Hours/Week: 40hrs weekly
  • Weekend Requirement: No
  • Length of Contract: 13 weeks

Minimum Requirements

  • Possesses a current Practical Nursing License in the applicable state
  • Minimum of one year experience in Corrections preferred
  • Corrections experience is required. NCDAC Experience is preferred.
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
