Position Overview: With our ongoing success in business growth, we are expanding our Measurement and Verification (M&V) team and have a new opportunity for a Graduate Energy Analyst to join us to provide performance monitoring and targeting services for both our internal teams and external customers. The successful candidate will be involved with the planning and preparation of metering and measurement strategies to ensure energy performance delivery against contracted targets. Working with all departments including the sales, project development, construction and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) teams, the M&V team plan for and provide technical insight to Project Developers to guide them towards improved client solutions and system performance analysis for Construction and O&M Project Managers to ensure delivery of energy and carbon savings for Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPC) at project locations throughout Amerescoβs UK Region. This is a hybrid position based in London.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitor energy savings at appropriate frequencies based on project performance risk and in alignment with the M&V plan and strategy, ensuring energy-saving measures perform as intended.
- Produce, distribute, and present monthly, quarterly, or annual Measurement & Verification (M&V) reports to clients in accordance with the M&V plan requirements.
- Document and maintain records related to M&V reports in a clear and organized manner, ensuring all data, information, and evidence are easily accessible for audits.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including Project Managers, the Operations & Maintenance team, and service contractors, to identify energy-saving shortfalls, investigate root causes, and propose corrective actions to maintain contracted performance targets.
- Develop tools and systems to process and store data efficiently, enabling scalable analysis and insightful reporting on large datasets.
- Support M&V, O&M, compliance, and other business functions as required.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor or equivalent four-year technical degree.
Additional Qualifications:
- Data Analysis & Accuracy β Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail for processing large datasets and generating O&M and M&V reports. Proficiency in Excel (advanced functions), SQL, Power BI, and/or Python for data analysis and visualization. Experience with managing, structuring, and automating databases to improve workflow efficiency.
- Organizational & Communication Skills β Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders, manage diverse data sources, maintain reporting schedules, and communicate insights effectively to support decision-making.
- Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking - Ability to identify inconsistencies in data, troubleshoot issues in reporting, and develop solutions to improve data accuracy and efficiency.
- Technical Proficiency β A foundational understanding of renewable energy systems (e.g., wind, solar, battery storage) and energy efficiency projects, enabling the candidate to accurately interpret project data and reports.
