Position Overview: The ESM function is a leading utility consultancy with a strong track record for innovation and exceptional client service. We have a unique combination of energy industry, trading, and financial expertise (developed at Yorkshire Electricity, Scottish Power, Npower, BP, and Ernst & Young) that ensures a multi-disciplined approach to the procurement, planning, and ongoing management of energy costs, usage, and associated carbon emissions. Ameresco ESM has placed over 2,000 energy contracts worth more than £1 billion with 35+ suppliers on behalf of nearly 200 clients. We focus on a select number of high-value industrial and commercial clients with significant energy spend. Team Structure – Energy Supply Management Role Scope: Business Analyst Build and maintain bill validation tools and techniques Act as a super user, maintaining excellence in data on a daily basis Support requests and training requirements for the ESM function Assist the business with complex queries and project work Perform other duties as assigned Role Duties: Business Analyst Support all client-facing teams to enable efficient operations Problem solve and maintain complex Excel tools Provide solutions to ad hoc operational queries Identify and expand Ameresco capabilities with client-facing offers Conduct energy industry analytical tasks Experience In Data analytics and expert Excel skills Handling large quantities of numerical data Managing team and managerial queries in a complex environment Handling multiple workstreams and activities Managing large client portfolios Industry knowledge is a bonus; enthusiasm, problem-solving, and willingness to learn about the UK energy industry are essential Personal Attributes Self-starter capable of prioritizing independently Clear communicator, confident, flexible, customer-focused, passionate about energy Good organizational skills, ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines Additional Requirements All applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.
