About the Opportunity: Amentum is the Nuclear Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield Ltd under the PPP (Programme and Project Partners). PPP is an exciting model to work in with four world-class organisations who have come together as one team, to create a clean and safe environment for future generations. The programme arrangement is set to deliver ~£7bn worth of major projects creating a lasting legacy through the long-term partnerships.
The Role: Amentum now has an exciting opportunity to recruit a Principal CS&A Engineer to join the team in Birchwood, Warrington. As a Principal CS&A Engineer your responsibilities could include:
- Leading a team of CS&A engineers and architects in the definition, implementation and delivery of specified functional works that achieves safety, functional and business requirements.
- Key role holder within the Engineering team on the project.
- Delivery of the civil, structural, and architectural design.
- Manage the interface to and between key Delivery Partners and the design team.
- Understanding of the commercial implications of products, scope and packages.
- Delivery of substantiation and other approvals.
- Risk identification with proposed resolution/mitigation.
- Production of Schedule and identification of key milestones.
- Develop deliverables list and format (drawings, specifications, reports, BIM etc.).
As a Principal CS&A Engineer you will already have:
- Higher Education Qualification in Engineering (or equivalent) subject - MEng (preferred).
- Appropriate (Engineering or Scientific) Institution Membership - Chartered Engineer.
- Background engineering experience demonstrating a record of successful delivery including recent positions influencing professional engineers and guiding technical personnel.
- Experience of working within a regulated and quality assured system (preferably nuclear) in roles where professional judgement is the key attribute.
