About the Role
The Group Director provides strategic and operational leadership for the sub division, ensuring delivery excellence, client and employee satisfaction, and sustainable business growth. This role oversees operational performance, governance, people development, and market engagement to align with the organisation’s objectives. The role is accountable for driving efficiency, embedding a culture of innovation and inclusion, and ensuring that projects and the sub division have the systems, processes, and leadership needed to deliver consistent high performance. The Group Director will provide strategic direction and leadership for Independent Nuclear Assurance & Regulation, ensuring quality, safety, and innovation. This role will also contribute to strategic decision-making, collaborate cross-functionally, and play a key role in shaping the division and overall organisation’s growth, mission, and culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Lead the delivery and performance of the sub division, ensuring financial and operational objectives are achieved.
- Strategic Growth: Partner with senior leadership to shape and implement ambitious business growth strategies (organic, partnerships, and M&A).
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong client, partner, and supply chain relationships; secure new business opportunities and ensure delivery excellence.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure transparent, ethical operations and adherence to corporate governance, risk, and compliance standards.

Here’s What You’ll Need
- Degree in Business, Management, Finance, or related field; advanced degree (MBA) preferred.
- Significant senior leadership experience within complex, project-driven organisations.
- Proven track record of growing revenue and profitability through strong client delivery.
- Experience managing large cross-functional teams and embedding governance frameworks.
- Strong financial acumen and experience in strategic planning and delivery.

- Extensive experience in Engineering Projects and Scientific research/testing in regulated industries.
