About the Opportunity
We are recruiting for Technicians to join our Nuclear Power Engineering and Technical Services team supporting our key client EDF Energy Nuclear Operations with their nuclear fleet in the UK. This is a key role within our Stations Services team based at Torness Power Station.
In this role, you will support work across the UK’s Nuclear Power Station fleet, reporting to the Site General Manager and Field Supervisors. You will work within a diverse and inclusive team to maintain the safe operational status of these nuclear facilities by carrying out routine maintenance, testing, refurbishment, modifications, and outage support activities. This role has no direct reports.
- Experience working within highly regulated environments with high safety standards and culture.
- Good communication and organizational skills, with the ability to develop relationships, maintain effective networks, and be results-focused with a team-centered approach.
- Commitment to all health and safety guidelines.
- Safety-critical understanding or experience within a structured organization.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, C&I, Civil, Construction & Commissioning.
- NVQ Level 3 in Lifting and Moving Loads.
- Completion of Apprenticeship in relevant technical discipline.
- Proven experience as a Technician or similar role.
- Excellent knowledge of plant, machinery, systems, and components.
- Aptitude for using hand tools and precision measurement tools.
- Ability to follow procedures, read Work Order Cards, RAMS, instructions, blueprints, diagrams, and drawings.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic awareness of CAD.
