The selected candidate will be employed by Amentum Clean Energy Poland, part of Amentum.
As Technical Project Director you'll manage the engineering and technical programme of work through all phases of the design and construction of a Nuclear Power Plant, from inception to completion.
Key responsibilities in the role will be:- Provide direction in programme and project management.
- Contribute to the management of comprehensive and multi‑level schedules.
- Manage a multi‑disciplined Technical Project Management Delivery team for an organisation.
- Develop, manage, and implement a workforce plan based on programme demand and supply through consultation and collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Develop/support development of oversight procedures and organization.
- Provide information to support decision making for the Project Director.
- Plan and schedule work, organise teams, processes and tools and compile complex business documents.
- Build and maintain partnerships among in‑country and international stakeholders who have key roles in the program.
- Maintain the highest ethical standards.
- Accountable to the Project Director for the development and implementation of strategic planning and project implementation.
- Liaising with others on the management of comprehensive and multi‑level schedules.
- Delivery and management of the assigned projects within the Service Authorisations to time and within budget.
- Experience in the nuclear industry, including leadership roles with specific experience in nuclear new build projects.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and manage large vendor and contractor organizations.
- Master’s or PhD in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience in managing megaprojects (EPC/EPCM), including budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and interface management.
- Demonstrated experience working with nuclear regulators and licensing processes.
- In‑depth knowledge of nuclear power plant design, construction, commissioning, and operation.
- Strong understanding of nuclear safety principles, reactor technologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with international standards (IAEA, WENRA, ASME, IEEE).
- Nuclear lifecycle management including, nuclear and conventional island design, nuclear construction project execution, plant commissioning, nuclear operations and nuclear decommissioning.
