Silk Screen Operator / Press Operator

Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services supporting the U.S. government, allied partners, and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking a Silk Screen Operator / Press Operator to support a unique U.S. Navy program located on the remote island of Diego Garcia.

The Silk Screen Operator / Press Operator is responsible for operating silk screen and press equipment to produce printed materials in accordance with Navy quality standards and production requirements. Responsibilities include:

• Setting up screens, preparing inks, aligning materials, and operating manual or automated presses to produce accurate, high-quality prints.
• Monitoring press operations, adjusting settings as needed, and inspecting finished products to ensure color accuracy, registration, and overall print quality.
• Following established production schedules, maintaining consistent output, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational procedures.
• Cleaning and maintaining screens and press equipment, managing ink and supply inventory, documenting production output, and maintaining a clean and orderly workspace.

The Silk Screen Operator / Press Operator supports mission-driven printing and production needs in a remote environment.

Minimum Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in silk screen printing, press operations, or related production environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of screen preparation, ink handling, and press operation.
• Ability to follow production specifications and quality standards.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods and handling materials.
• Must possess a valid passport and be able to travel internationally; passport must be valid for at least one year beyond hire date.
• Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce.
• Experience producing signage, apparel, forms, or printed materials.
• Familiarity with print production workflows and quality control processes.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
• Valid country driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain country-specific visa(s) in accordance with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.
