Job Description

The Contractor will support PEO SDA, USSOCOM Components, TSOCs, and others to include Foreign Military Sales (FMS) as mission dictates, by providing technical and analytical mission planning, execution, and post-mission system support. Mission planning is critical to special operations, and the mission planning, execution, post-mission system/device will be maintained in a serviceable status to support combat/contingency operations. The overall goal will be to achieve a system/device availability of 95% and a maintenance turnaround time of less than 24 hours from the time of notification within Continental United States (CONUS) and manned Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) locations. Support will be characterized by two (2) levels:

1. Level I (Critical/Urgent) support will be defined as critical or emergency support to the mission planning and execution system/device. This level of support will be completed within 72 hours or as mission requirements dictate.
2. Level II (Routine) support will be defined as cyclical support to the mission planning and execution system/device. This level of support will be completed within 30 days or as mission requirements dictate.

Minimum Requirements

1. Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related discipline; OR Technical School Certificate related to computer systems OR the equivalent technical training with experience that aligns directly to the duties to be performed in lieu of degree for specific user units.
2. Minimum of 7 years operational experience with or supporting an organization’s navigation and mission planning techniques including preparation and check out of flight plans for aircraft weapons systems OR mission planning computer systems, communications, mission equipment, and planning techniques including preparation of unit mission plans for conduct of peacetime and wartime special operations missions.
3. DoD 8570 IAT Level 2, or higher certification (IE: Security +).
4. Other, customer-specific planning & execution software applications.
5. An ACTIVE Secret Clearance with TS Eligibility is required.

Work Environment

1. Work will be performed inside a large facility. An inside environment may be a cubicle (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting).
2. Work assignments vary based on client requirements.
3. Work may include travel with the military to participate in exercises in austere conditions.
4. Outside work may include various environmental conditions including hot, dusty, cold, icy, and windy climates.

Physical Requirements

1. Sitting at desk. Phone use and PC or laptop. Filing required. May require lifting and carrying boxes of supplies or files up to 25 lbs. Extended periods of sitting while on PC/laptop or phone.
2. May require climbing, working at heights, and in small confined spaces such as under raised floors, inside closets, and server racks. Must be able to sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch for long periods. Work in noisy areas with hotter and colder temperatures than standard office environmental conditions. Lift and transport equipment to 50 pounds.

Equipment and Machines

1. General office equipment, which includes: telephone, fax machine, copier, PC/laptop, and other miscellaneous office equipment.
2. Servers, switches, routers, and other computer equipment that supports the network environment.
3. Operating hand tools, power tools, ladders, and test equipment.
4. May require operating motor vehicles.

Attendance

1. Regular attendance by an established work schedule is mandatory.
2. It is important to be able to work any shift/designated hours required.
3. You may be asked to continue performance in support of a war, contingency, or exercise.
4. You may be asked to continue performance during inclement weather or other conditions when others are not permitted to work.
5. Position may require night and weekend work and could include travel with the military to participate in operations/exercises located in areas with field conditions.

Travel

1. Continental and overseas travel may be required. It is important to maintain a current passport.

Other Essential Functions

1. Employment is contingent upon obtaining all required certifications within the timeframe specified in a waiver by the government (if applicable) and maintaining required certifications through the duration of the contract. Failure to obtain/maintain required certifications will result in disqualification for this position and could result in termination.
2. Candidate must exhibit professional behavior that promotes teamwork, fosters cooperation and enhances productivity in the workplace. Must be well organized with the ability to coordinate, prioritize and execute multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to work effectively with a variety of government, military, and contractor personnel at all levels.
3. Candidate must be able to interface effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
4. Grooming and dress are usually business casual but dependent on the client’s standards. Must not pose a safety hazard to employees working in the same general area.
5. The position for which you are applying requires a US government security clearance.
