About The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a QA/QC Inspector on the Hinkley Point C project. The role of the QA/QC Inspector will report to the Quality Manager and support the site Quality Lead team.
The candidate will be required to work in line with the Amentum construction team’s working rotation. This consists of 10 days on site and a four day weekend, starting on a Tuesday and finishing the following Thursday. The candidate will receive overtime and weekend pay rates in line with the site ESCA agreement.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high quality, consistent and competent inspection before, during and after welding in accordance with project, company requirements, standards and procedures;
- Ensure that all work scope is completed safely, ensuring no detrimental impact to personnel, fabric or environment;
- Read, understand and implement all applicable company and project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that the welding work scope is completed safely and to a high standard;
- Complete all work scope in accordance with applicable work pack or job card instructions, associated procedures and drawings or sketches;
- Provide inspection support to construction activities where required, as part of an integrated multi‑discipline team;
- Compile complete quality documentation in accordance with company and contractual requirements;
- Maintain thorough knowledge of fabrication and NDT techniques, including VT, PT & MT;
- Maintain thorough knowledge of QC inspection and dimensional inspection techniques.
Requirements
- CSWIP 3.1 welding inspector or 3.2 senior welding inspector;
- CSWIP/PCN Level II, Penetrant Testing;
- Significant experience as a Welding Inspector;
- Good working knowledge of Health & Safety.
Desired Qualifications
- PCN Level II, Magnetic Particle Inspection;
- PCN Level II, Radiographic Interpretation;
- BGAS‑CSWIP/ICorr/NACE Coatings Inspector;
- DV/SC clearance.
