About the Opportunity
Are you ready to revolutionise the nuclear industry? Join our team of Nuclear Licensing Engineers at the forefront of ground-breaking projects, across the civil nuclear and defence sectors. You will be producing, delivering and implementing licensing plans to expedite the scaled-up deployment of the current and next generation reactor technologies, like SMRs and AMRs, as well as fusion, space, and non-power reactors, both here in the UK and worldwide.

The role of a Nuclear Licensing Engineer is pivotal to the successful delivery of new nuclear projects. You'll lead the charge on innovative regulatory compliance, ensure regulatory submissions meet expectations and guide our clients and their teams to navigate complex licensing frameworks. It is also one of the pathways for senior technical roles.

The role – key responsibilities for this role are:
- Development of licensing submissions and delivery of regulatory engagement.
- Supporting delivery of innovation through nuclear and related licensing.
- Delivering technical work to support our clients licensing plans.
- Liaising with clients and regulators to understand their challenges and developing solutions.
- Representing the business in technical meetings with clients, regulators and other third parties.
- Helping to maintain the technical capability/knowledge of the community and mentoring junior team members (as appropriate), and work with centres of excellence.
Here's What You'll Need
- An appetite for enabling new nuclear projects through expediting nuclear licensing
- A degree (or equivalent demonstrable experience) in a STEM discipline.
- Experience of executing project tasks against relevant standards and best practices.
- Good communication skills and ability to articulate information to a broad range of stakeholders.
- Chartered Member of a professional institute (or equivalent demonstrable experience) or working towards either Chartered or Incorporated
- Engineer status with a relevant professional body.
