About the Opportunity

The Decommissioning Alliance (TDA) is a strategic partnership, operating within the DNWP framework and delivering critical decommissioning work at Sellafield, including the UK’s most challenging Legacy Ponds facilities. As a key partner within DNWP, TDA contributes to Sellafield Ltd.’s mission while ensuring communities, supply chains, and stakeholders benefit from meaningful, measurable Social Value outcomes.

The Role

TDA now has an exciting opportunity for a Workstream Lead who will be required to oversee Senior Project Managers and Project Managers required to deliver the high profile and critical scope of SHOP in legacy ponds. As a Workstream Lead some of your responsibilities could include:

  • Planning, directing and coordinating the team’s activities to manage and implement projects and/or interrelated projects from initiation to final closure.
  • Controlling project requirements, scope and change management issues, including approval of contract variations and early warnings within appropriate levels of authority, both with the client and supply chain. Working closely with the Strategic Projects Commercial Manager to do so.
  • Determine and monitor and review all project economics to include costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, resources, and risk.
  • Undertake status review meetings among project teams that form the workstream under their oversight. Advises the Head of Strategic Projects on matters of escalation, major concerns, risks, and opportunities within the workstream.

As a Workstream Lead, you will already have:

  • Bachelor's degree in applicable disciplines such as Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management or related technical discipline.
  • Experience of delivering high-profile, critical and interrelated projects.
  • Ability to lead and direct complex team structures.
  • Ability to develop relationships with stakeholders in upper management positions and client organisations.
