About the Role

Amentum is seeking an experienced Process Supervisor Engineer to provide technical leadership and supervision for water and wastewater treatment projects.

The role will support the development and delivery of safe, efficient and sustainable process solutions, ensuring compliance with client requirements, industry standards and regulatory obligations throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise process engineering activities across water and wastewater projects.
  • Develop and review process designs, calculations, specifications, PFDs and P&IDs.
  • Support process selection, equipment sizing, hydraulic assessments and treatment performance evaluations.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to process engineers and designers.
  • Coordinate process engineering activities with civil, mechanical, electrical, ICA and commissioning teams.
  • Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, risk assessments and technical workshops.
  • Support construction, commissioning, troubleshooting and performance testing activities.
  • Ensure process designs meet safety, environmental, quality and operational requirements.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, contractors and project stakeholders to resolve technical issues and support project delivery.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualification in Chemical, Process, Environmental, Water Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong experience in water and/or wastewater process engineering.
  • Proven experience in process design, engineering calculations and technical delivery.
  • Good knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes and associated equipment.
  • Experience supervising engineers and working within multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Strong understanding of engineering safety, risk management and quality assurance.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Requirements

  • Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards professional registration.
  • Membership of a relevant professional institution (IChem E, CIWEM, ICE, IMech E or equivalent).
  • Experience delivering projects for UK water utilities.
  • Knowledge of process modelling, hydraulic modelling and process safety reviews.
  • Experience supporting projects through feasibility, design, construction and commissioning.
  • Understanding of sustainability, carbon reduction and whole-life asset optimisation.
