About the Opportunity
Amentum is seeking a talented and motivated Cloud Integration Engineer to join our growing cyber security team. As a Cloud Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development and support of Azure Integration Services, cloud infrastructure and automation solutions. Working within a collaborative engineering team, you will help deliver resilient, secure and scalable integration capabilities that underpin critical business services. This is an exciting opportunity to work with modern cloud technologies and play a key role in the evolution of our integration capabilities. Working closely with architecture, security, project delivery and operational teams, you will contribute to the delivery of innovative solutions that enhance operational resilience, support digital transformation and reduce organisational risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Azure Integration Services
- Design, deploy, configure and maintain Azure Integration Services, including Azure Service Bus, Azure Data Factory, Azure API Management (APIM), Azure Functions and Logic Apps.
- Establish and maintain messaging services using Azure Service Bus queues, topics and subscriptions.
- Implement and support integration patterns, including message routing, orchestration and event-driven architectures.
- Configure and monitor dead-letter queues and integrate monitoring and alerting capabilities with Azure Monitor.
- Support API onboarding, configuration and lifecycle management within Azure API Management.
- Cloud Infrastructure & Security
- Design and deploy enterprise-grade Azure cloud infrastructure in accordance with organisational standards, security requirements and governance controls.
- Implement network segregation, resource segmentation and security controls to support secure integration architectures.
- Ensure all solutions comply with SSE cloud, cyber security and operational standards.
- Infrastructure as Code & Automation
- Develop, maintain and enhance Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform.
- Create reusable templates, modules and deployment patterns to support standardised infrastructure provisioning.
- Define Azure integration components and infrastructure through code-based deployment methods.
- DevOps & CI/CD
- Develop, maintain and support CI/CD pipelines to automate solution deployment, testing and release management activities.
- Integrate unit testing and integration testing into deployment pipelines.
- Support automation using GitHub Actions and other CI/CD tooling where appropriate.
- Data Integration & Transformation
- Design and implement data integration, migration and transformation solutions.
- Support the movement and transformation of data using Azure Data Factory and other Azure integration technologies.
- Develop and maintain standardised data models and transformation patterns.
- Operational Support
- Provide ongoing operational support for cloud and integration platforms.
- Support incident resolution, service improvements, change management activities and platform maintenance.
- Perform platform upgrades, patching and evergreen maintenance activities to ensure services remain secure and supportable.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Documentation
- Work collaboratively with integration, project delivery, operational support, architecture and business teams.
- Participate in design workshops, technical reviews and knowledge transfer activities.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, support documentation and operational procedures.
- Contribute to low-level designs, implementation plans and solution architecture documentation where required.
