You’ll be accountable for the overall organisation, direction and performance of Commissioning, OR&T, managing delivery teams and the wider supply chain to drive safe, timely completion of projects within budget and specification. A key part of the role is planning, balancing and prioritising commissioning resources within the portfolio, alongside building strong client relationships through workshops, site visits and regular communication. You’ll also support business development, helping to shape bids and proposals and showcase our commissioning capability to existing and prospective clients.
It’s an opportunity to work on complex, safety critical projects in highly regulated environments, embedding commissioning, operability and maintainability requirements into every stage of delivery – from design and risk through to contract and handover.
Here’s What You’ll Need
- Significant experience leading Commissioning, Operational Readiness & Transition activities on complex, major projects, ideally within Nuclear, Oil & Gas or other highly regulated industries
- A strong track record of managing delivery teams and supply chain partners to achieve safe, timely and cost‑effective project completion
- Degree‑level qualification in engineering or a science subject (or equivalent experience), ideally with professional membership of a relevant chartered body
- A project management qualification such as APM PMQ, or a willingness to work towards one
- Confident stakeholder management skills, with experience building strong relationships with clients and cross‑functional teams
- Experience embedding commissioning, operability and maintainability requirements into wider project processes such as design, risk and contract management
