About the Opportunity

The Structural Analysis and Assessment Team is seeking a motivated and dynamic Graphite Team leader to manage a group of 6-8 specialists focused on the structural integrity of nuclear graphite. Most of the team’s work supports life extension for the UK’s Advanced Gas-cooled Reactor (AGR) fleet, with increasing activity in the new reactor design space.

You’ll guide delivery, shape strategy, and grow our portfolio by building relationships with new and existing clients, including owners of next-generation graphite-moderated reactors.

The successful candidate will have a sound structural integrity background, with knowledge of nuclear graphite preferable, but not essential. We also actively participate in a number of national and international projects and work closely with other parts of Amentum to provide integrated solutions to client requirements.

The team excels at hybrid working, with some days at home and others in our offices in Warrington, Knutsford and Manchester.
