Our Defence and Security teams provide design and engineering services for our nuclear and defence clients across the UK and abroad. Our team is experiencing exciting growth and long-term prospects within our established practice, and we are looking for Systems Engineers with transferable skills who are passionate about developing themselves and in meeting new challenges. We offer hybrid working with 1-2 days in the office. Bristol, Reading, London, Glasgow, Manchester, UK network of offices. Occasional site visits may be necessary.
We are looking for Systems Engineers (Engineer/Consultant grades) to join our UK based team; main location is flexible with the majority of work able to be carried out from home, with visits to sites potentially required. As part of a growing team, you will have the opportunity to work on some of the UK's most innovative and strategically important programmes across the Ministry of Defence (MoD), Nuclear New Build, emerging nuclear technologies, and Nuclear Decommissioning, making a tangible impact while advancing your career.

We require Systems Engineers who enjoy working with wider Project Team and who have a commercial understanding as well as knowledge of MoD processes and procedures. You would be working across a range of different activities at various stages of the systems engineering life cycle.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Steering the Systems Engineering principles and processes through the project stakeholder’s approval processes;
- Provision of SME advice to project stakeholders and project teams regarding the systems engineering processes;
- Capturing, validating and managing the project’s requirements and V&V strategy and planning;
- Ensuring consistency in approach to user, system, design and safety requirements capture and tracking;
- Provision of SME advice and responsibility for interface management of systems;
- Plan, develop, update Systems Engineering (SE) artefacts i.e. ConOps, RAMS, URDs, SRDs, VVRMs, ITEAPs.System Interface Documents, Integration Plans, Test Plans, Test Schedules, Acceptance Case Reports;
- Preparing presentations and representing SE in stakeholder meetings.

Here’s what you need:
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a recognised engineering or STEM discipline.
- Experience of Systems Engineering activities in a complex, safety focussed and regulated organisation with multiple complex interfaces. Ideally within the UK MoD, or a similar regulated environment.
- Have a holistic approach to Systems Engineering and general Engineering activities.
- Be delivery focussed with an enthusiasm to make a positive difference.
- Demonstrable experience of change management, rapidly adapting to emerging requirements, changing circumstances and high levels of uncertainty and ambiguity in a fast-changing environment.
