Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in GIS, Informatics, IT or a related field (2:1 minimum).
  • Strong front-end development skills (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS).
  • Experience using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular (React preferred).
  • Expertise with web mapping libraries, such as ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, OpenLayers or Leaflet.
  • Experience developing REST APIs and integrating geospatial services into front-end applications.
  • Competence in server-side development using languages such as Python, Node.js, or .NET.
  • Experience with version control (Git or equivalent).
  • A strong background in the use of GIS software, ideally ESRI product suite.
  • Experience in geospatial software and task automation within FME and/or Python.
  • Strong experience with spatial databases, including ESRI Enterprise Geodatabases (SDE) and PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
  • Understanding of GIS service architectures, including ESRI services (MapServer, FeatureServer, ImageServer) and OGC‑compliant services (WMS, WFS, WMTS, WCS, Features API, etc).
  • Hands‑on experience developing within ArcGIS Enterprise Experience Builder.
  • Familiarity with GeoServer, MapServer, or other equivalent open‑source GIS servers.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, building strong relationships based on mutual trust and respect.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Driven and motivated to succeed, with a high level of personal accountability.
