About the opportunity: We’re seeking a UK GDO HR Regional Advisor to support the business and HR function through a period of significant change and transformation. You’ll deliver end-to-end HR administration, partnering with GDO and HR Operations teams in the UK and Poland, and improving regional processes to sustain service quality during the transition. This is a Hybrid role based in Glasgow, reporting to the UK GDO HR Regional Manager.
Accountabilities:
- Manage HR enquiries from employees and managers via ServiceNow.
- Own resolution of escalated UK Employee Lifecycle cases, including complex issues.
- Escalate issues to HR Operations teams, ensuring complete and accurate information is captured and shared.
- Act as a regional Workday expert: troubleshoot issues for our International population and take ownership of processing event corrections, cancellations, and rescinds.
- Actively work alongside the GDO HR Regional Manager to examine case trends, flag recurring issues, and develop and implement fixes.
- Challenge ways of working and drive process improvements to increase efficiency.
- Review, update, and develop regional process documentation.
- Support GDO and HR projects as required.
- Timely processing of employee lifecycle changes, liaising with Payroll and internal teams in line with company procedures.
- Maintain employee data in Workday.
- Provide ad hoc support to the UK People Operations Partner team on regional activities.
- Produce and analyse standard and ad hoc reports.
- You’ll manage a high-volume workload to tight deadlines.
Requirements:
- HR experience in an administrative or advisory environment.
- Basic knowledge of UK HR employment practices.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Well organised; able to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Practical approach.
- Clear written and verbal communication; able to interpret and explain complex information to varied audiences.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Desirable:
- Experience in an HR shared services environment.
- Confidence to provide initial guidance on employee relations queries.
- Experience using advanced formulas in Microsoft Excel (e.g. VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, etc).
