About the Opportunity: Nuclear Power Programmes has been formed with the vision to support positive change and help shape the future of Nuclear Power. Operational throughout the UK and across continental Europe, we are seeking to expand our team on a variety of nuclear projects, which range in technologies and that find themselves at different stages of their development. To do this, we are seeking to continuously employ talented individuals to join our diverse team that are excited about nuclear projects and are committed to Net Zero, and Energy Security.

In both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.

This Environmental Arrangements Engineer role is focused on maintaining ISO 14001 compliance, environmental governance, and continuous improvement across the Sizewell C construction project, while supporting environmental compliance, auditing, incident management, procurement, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and deputise for the Environmental Arrangements Lead.
  • Maintain and improve the project's Environmental Management System (EMS).
  • Support ongoing ISO 14001:2015 accreditation and surveillance audits.
  • Develop environmental arrangements, procedures and management plans.
  • Ensure environmental and sustainability requirements are embedded in designs, contracts and work packages.
  • Support environmental aspects of incident reporting, design change processes, and procurement activities.
  • Conduct environmental inspections and performance reviews.
  • Work with site teams, contractors, regulators and the Civil Works Alliance.
  • Support environmental compliance across construction activities.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Sustainability, or Environmental Engineering.
  • Experience working within an EMS aligned to BS EN ISO 14001:2015.
  • Experience supporting environmental audits & environmental management procedures, compliance monitoring & continuous improvement activities.
