About the Opportunity: Amentum is the Nuclear Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield Ltd under the PPP (Programme and Project Partners). The programme will deliver approximately £7 bn worth of major projects over a twenty‑year partnership, with a focus on safety, sustainability and long‑term value for future generations.
Role Summary: You will report to the Head of PPP Procurement and manage a small team that collaborates across capabilities such as Engineering, Quality, Health & Safety, Procurement and Supply Chain. Your role will require frequent travel between PPP office locations and visits to suppliers. As a Supply Chain Lead you will maintain and update Acquisition Strategy Documents in consultation with PPP and client stakeholders. You will oversee a portfolio of strategic suppliers, ensure that the PPP leverages forecast benefits, support projects and services by monitoring supplier performance across multiple live projects and carry out Supplier Relationship Management.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update Acquisition Strategy Documents in consultation with PPP and client stakeholders.
- Develop, implement and continually improve supply chain strategies and processes that support business goals and objectives.
- Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams across Engineering, Quality, Health & Safety, Procurement and Supply Chain.
- Create and implement procurement procedures and contracts within a construction or infrastructure delivery environment.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions, preferably NEC3/NEC4 and bespoke contracts.
- Manage and administer frameworks and contracts, applying commercial principles and Supplier Relationship Management best practices.
- Support end‑to‑end procurement processes and ensure on‑time delivery of procurements.
Qualifications:
- Relevant professional accreditation (MCIPS or equivalent).
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement supply chain strategies and processes.
- Strong collaborative skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, methods and practices within a construction or infrastructure delivery environment.
- Technical knowledge of procurement procedure creation and implementation.
- In-depth understanding of contractual terms and conditions, preferably NEC3/NEC4, and experience with bespoke contracts.
- Solid understanding of commercial principles and the management/administration of frameworks and contracts.
