About the opportunity: Energy Programmes is one of our newest Business Units and has been formed with the vision to support positive change and help shape the future of Nuclear Power. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (new build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first Energy Power station. Working in both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle.
We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively. Amentum is currently looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Layout Engineer who will carry out the following activities:
- Oversee the layout interface for small power electrical equipment.
- Assist in delivering the local cable tray design to the client.
- Handle technical management of the supplier and support the client with contract‑related matters during execution, especially regarding delivery schedule, costs, scope of supply, and studies.
- Review supplier documents based on technical standards, ensuring timely and high‑quality evaluations, and coordinate document reviews among contributors.
- Prepare comment sheets for the supplier using dedicated tools and arrange clarifications when necessary.
- Manage contract modifications by informing the supplier via CTS (Contract Transfer Sheet) and sending it to the client through dedicated tools.
- Address all modifications, technical issues, or non‑conformities arising from site activities.
- Monitor risks, opportunities, unresolved issues, and contract changes with the client.
- Coordinate interfaces with all Edvance and EPR‑E disciplines involved in providing relevant input data for the electrical contract.
- Manage interfaces, including qualification tasks carried out in EDVANCE France.
- Track all equipment delivery dates to the site.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the RCC‑E electrical technical regulations and the technical reference system (NFC15‑100 / NF C 13‑200 / BS7671 / IEC 60909).
- Knowledge of the nuclear field via educational curriculum or professional experience.
- Knowledge of the quality processes involved in industrial projects in the nuclear field.
- Electrical and Layout technical reviews.
