About the Opportunity

Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering critical work for major UK and European projects. Our embedded teams support Hinkley Point C, Sizewell C, develop SMR technology, and contribute to Poland\’s first nuclear power station.

Working in both client-facing and internal roles, we deliver program and project management throughout the project lifecycle, focusing on safety, quality, and timeliness through innovation and collaboration.

The Construction Support Services (CSS) Project Lead oversees activities related to the construction, operation, and maintenance of temporary infrastructure supporting main works. Responsibilities include onsite supervision, forward planning, CDM compliance, and ensuring safe, efficient delivery.

The role involves tactical logistics planning, detailed implementation, and collaboration with the HPC Delivery Team, Area Management, and stakeholders.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of critical infrastructure support for a construction workforce of approximately 8,000.
  • Oversee infrastructure operations and project deliverables.
  • Support contract partners in delivering their work packages efficiently.
  • Recommend and implement safety and quality measures, including communication and meetings to prevent work halts.
  • Monitor site works and contribute to daily reports.
  • Maintain effective communication with site teams and stakeholders.
  • Ensure contract partners are competent and report shortfalls promptly.
  • Develop plans to meet or exceed service delivery expectations and schedules.
  • Proactively address issues to prevent escalation, fostering a \’one team\’ approach.

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Proven track record managing temporary infrastructure schemes.
  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, and scope of works.
  • Leadership experience in a service environment.
  • Experience working in a high-security environment.
  • Confidence and adaptability in dynamic settings.
  • Willingness to learn from successes and failures.
  • Experience in large project environments.
  • Excellent communication skills and relationship-building ability.
  • Willingness to collaborate with local supply chain partners.
  • Project Management qualifications and proven experience.
