Amentum is recruiting for a Senior Planner who will report to the Programme Planner and support the PMO function in providing Schedule and Planning Management expertise to the Client PMO & Programme teams. In this role you will develop, manage and maintain the delivery schedule for several of the Workstreams on the Project.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating and facilitating schedule workshops and reviews with Project Stakeholders
- Liaising with Project Managers to develop, manage, and maintain the Integrated Schedule
- Producing periodic schedule reports to inform Senior Leadership
- Ensuring suitable management and maintenance of Supply Chain schedules is being applied
- Escalating schedule issues and concerns that may require senior‑level management or key stakeholder engagement for resolution or mitigation
- Actively encouraging and embedding a Schedule Management culture by providing guidance to improve competency across the Project
- Collaborating with the other Project Controls functions to ensure alignment is maintained
- Maintaining alignment of all Project Stakeholders with best practice guidelines and recommending continuous process improvements as and when required
Qualifications
- Knowledge of project planning principles and techniques with experience of major infrastructure projects, ideally within a nuclear construction environment
- Ability to time‑manage self and organize work priorities
- Ability to create a schedule from first principles
- Expert knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project and Excel experience to a high level
- Mentoring and/or Coaching experience
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, including influencing
- Ability to work in a team as well as on own initiative, with capability to take responsibility for problems within own capability and responsibility
- Results focused with the ability to meet commitments and deadlines
- Logical thinking, highly organised with attention to detail, high level of analytical and numerate skills
Travel Requirements
Travel to project locations in Europe may be required.
