Hinkley Point C (HPC) is the first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years. HPC's two EPR reactors will be capable of generating 3.26GW of secure, low carbon electricity for 60 years, enough electricity to power around 6 million homes. In addition to the projects ‘clean energy’ benefits, HPC will create thousands of jobs and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy.
Amentum are currently recruiting a Material Handling Supervisor who will report to the Material Handling Manager. Key responsibilities will be:
- Supervision of material handling and laydown area activities
- Implementation of material movement procedures
- Coordination with internal and external partners
- Operational reporting to the Material Handling Manager
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience in power plant construction or industrial site operations
- Experience of supervising site logistics or material handling teams
- Willingness to take responsibility
- Exhibits sound judgement and professionalism
- Cost awareness and practical problem-solving ability
- Open-minded to change and improvement
- Goal-oriented approach
- Ideally experienced using MTA or similar material tracking systems
