About the Opportunity
Amentum is recruiting a Practitioner Planner at Practitioner level to support EDF Energy Nuclear Generation in the UK, focusing on nuclear defueling and decommissioning projects at Dungeness B. The role is part of our Project Management Resource team within the UK network.
Responsibilities
- Accountable to the client Project Controls Group Head, PPM, or Operations Manager for developing and managing schedules that incorporate risk, change, resource requirements, and cost under EDF Generation Company standards.
- Create plans for the full project lifecycle, including development and design within the Nuclear Defueling team, supporting delivery of the client’s ALR2 commitments.
- Track and maintain schedules in a highly regulated, safety‑centric environment.
- Communicate effectively, build relationships, and maintain a results‑focused, team‑centred approach.
Qualifications
- Minimum of HNC/HND in an Engineering discipline or relevant experience.
- Broad experience across the project and programme lifecycle (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation/Commissioning).
- Proficient with the latest version of Primavera.
- Ability to develop, control, monitor, analyse, and report on schedule‑related aspects for projects within a portfolio.
- Establish and monitor a cost‑ and resource‑loaded baseline plan in accordance with Programme Office processes.
- Capture project budgetary costs and resources within the plan to determine time phasing of expenditure and total budget.
- Establish robust Work Breakdown and Project Control Structures aligning with Investment Delivery processes, templates, and procedures.
- Demonstrated leadership to ensure the project plan embraces the full scope, is fit for purpose, and achievable.
- Experience integrating third‑party schedules and data into the overall project plan.
- Communicate at all management levels, produce monthly reports, and provide intelligent information and analysis.
