Amentum has an exciting opportunity to recruit a Principal CS&A Engineer to join the team in Birchwood, Warrington.
Responsibilities:
- Leading a team of CS&A engineers and architects in defining, implementing and delivering specified functional works that achieve safety, functional and business requirements.
- Key role holder within the Engineering team on the project.
- Delivery of the civil, structural, and architectural design.
- Manage the interface to and between key Delivery Partners and the design team.
- Understanding of the commercial implications of products, scope and packages.
- Delivery of substantiation and other approvals.
- Risk identification with proposed resolution/mitigation.
- Production of schedule and identification of key milestones.
Qualifications:
- Higher Education Qualification in Engineering (or equivalent) – MEng preferred.
- Appropriate (Engineering or Scientific) Institution Membership – Chartered Engineer.
- Background engineering experience demonstrating a record of successful delivery, including recent positions influencing professional engineers and guiding technical personnel.
- Experience working within a regulated and quality‑assured system (preferably nuclear) where professional judgement is the key attribute.

Amentum is the Nuclear Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield Ltd under the Programme and Project Partners (PPP) model. The programme arrangement is set to deliver approximately £7 bn worth of major projects, creating a lasting legacy through long‑term partnerships. The role will be based in Birchwood, Warrington.
