About the opportunity: Amentum is the Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield under the PPP (Programme and Project Partners) for a 20‑year arrangement to deliver major projects. The role is for the Senior CE&I Designer on the newbuild SCP facility, supporting construction and commissioning on the site’s existing and new plant.

Responsibilities

  • Fully conversant in 2‑D drawing packages (ideally AutoCAD) and Aveva E&I.
  • Production of E&I deliverables such as loop diagrams, block cable diagrams and single line diagrams.
  • Ability to update cable details and information within Aveva E&I.
  • Review and production of termination details within Aveva E&I.
  • Development and update of control panel schematic diagrams.
  • Ensure that all drawings and documentation are produced to required standards and that the work is completed to the agreed schedule.
  • Work independently, demonstrating engineering experience and confidence to deliver the CE&I scope on a project.

Qualifications

  • ONC/HNC qualified in Electrical Engineering or other relevant educational background.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and across multi-discipline teams.
  • Previous experience in the nuclear or other regulated industry.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and deliver on deadlines.
