Amentum is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Engineer to support our Engineering team in delivering the required workload to enable the business to meet the business plan targets. This role involves working alongside the Engineers, analysing plant data, trend identification, problem solving, implementation of engineering solutions and closing out of work streams packs and supporting with work front close outs, while ensuring compliance with industry and company standards. Based on site (DNB) Dungeness B with the option to work remotely (WFH) on a limited basis, in agreement with the allocated EDF line manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of Engineering risk delivery under the guidance of senior Engineers.
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
- Conduct site inspections and collect data for analysis.
- Support troubleshooting and maintenance activities for ongoing projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of Engineering activities.

- Strong understanding of Engineering principles and practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in navigating and utilising AMS system.
