About The Opportunity
The Sellafield Product & Residue Store (SPRS) Retreatment Plant (SRP) Project will provide a facility that receives Special Nuclear Material (SNM) from existing stores across the Sellafield site and processes it into a form suitable for safe and secure storage until 2120.
The Role
To support the delivery of the SRP Project, we are seeking a Senior EC&I Designer to join the design team. Responsibilities of this position are to lead the delivery of mechanical handling systems, specifically package transfer systems and storage outside of Glovebox Lines, along with building services systems including cranes, FLTs, and lifts. The SRP Project is currently in the Construction phase which incorporates procurement, manufacture, works test, installation, and commissioning. This role is required to provide both design support activities to the supply chain, along with completion of outstanding design scope from earlier project phases.
As a Senior EC&I Designer you will be expected to:
- Develop and deliver CE&I design solutions in response to problem definitions and Project Functional Specifications from the client.
- Work within the current CE&I design team to deliver CE&I design against the schedule and support meeting key delivery milestones.
- Support plant configuration walk downs to confirm and accurately record task baseline details, or the production of outline design schemes.
- Attend Design reviews to support the RE in presentation of design documentation.
As a Senior EC&I Designer you will already:
- Be a competent and proven CE&I design engineer, capable of producing designs, schemes, drawings, and supporting calculations.
- Have knowledge and experience of producing both Instrumentation and Electrical designs.
- Have an understanding of the roles and application of the CDM regulations.
- Have previous experience producing design packages, suitable for manufacture and installation, containing drawings, method statements, risk assessments etc.
- Produce Design Drawings in AutoCAD.
- Hold a degree in a relevant engineering discipline with several years of design delivery experience OR other qualification such as BTEC, HNC, HND, with extensive design delivery experience.
