Amenable Staffing is currently recruiting experienced and dedicated Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) and Support Workers for daily, ongoing shifts across March (PE15). In this role, you will be supporting adult service users (aged 18–65) with Learning Disabilities (LD) in Day Centres and Independent Living Services (ILS). We offer flexible scheduling, fast-track portal onboarding, and consistent daily shift availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing person-centred care and daily living support to adults with learning disabilities.
  • Assisting service users with daily activities within day centres and supported living environments.
  • Promoting independence, dignity, and positive behavioural support.
  • Supporting mobility and safe transfers using proper moving and handling techniques.
  • Maintaining accurate daily records, shift notes, and handovers.

Candidate Requirements & Eligibility

  • Experience: Previous UK healthcare experience working as an HCA or Support Worker (experience with learning disabilities/ILS preferred).
  • Right to Work: Valid Right to Work in the UK (UK Passport, Share Code, or relevant visa).
  • DBS: An Enhanced DBS registered on the DBS Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Work History & References: Complete CV covering work history since leaving school, with at least 2 professional references covering the last 3 years.
  • Training: Valid CPD-accredited mandatory training certificates (Moving & Handling, Safeguarding Adults, First Aid, Fire Safety, Food Hygiene, Infection Control, etc.).
  • Proof of Address: 2 official proofs of address dated within the last 3 months (e.g., utility bills, bank statements, or council tax bill).
