Leading Global Media Brand | UK-Based with travel to the US | 2 Days per Week £800 - £1000 a day | Flexible Engagement

The Opportunity

Amelore are representing a well-known media company, operating across digital content, streaming and production, in seeking a Fractional Finance Director to serve as senior strategic partner to its International CEO. Backed by $30 million in funding, the business is at the start of an ambitious US and international expansion.

You will work directly with the international CEO as a trusted financial partner, helping to shape and execute the international strategy. This is a high-visibility, hands-on role for a commercially sharp FD who is energised by early-stage businesses, comfortable prioritising high-impact work within a flexible engagement, and who has the media sector experience to make an impact quickly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner directly with the US-based CEO and leadership team, supporting decision-making and long-term business planning.
  • Provide commercial finance support across content deals, production budgets, advertising revenue, and digital distribution partnerships.
  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes, with a strong focus on margin management, and cost control.
  • Ensure robust financial controls and governance are embedded from the outset, building a scalable finance infrastructure: improving systems, processes and reporting frameworks as the business grows.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities as the company expands into further international markets.
  • Maintain accurate intercompany reporting between the UK entity and the US parent, ensuring alignment between UK and US financial records, as well as managing relationships with external UK accountants, tax advisors, and auditors.
  • Lead financial modelling, scenario analysis, forecasting, and performance reporting to support strategic decision-making at board level.
  • Develop regular performance reporting and financial updates for stakeholders and investors including high-quality management information and relevant financial KPIs.
  • Oversee working capital management, including cash collection cycles and debtor management.

About You

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with senior finance experience, including time operating at a finance director level.
  • Highly commercial, with the ability to influence non-finance leaders and work comfortably at board level.
  • Experience working with or reporting into a US parent company, including intercompany reporting and US/UK financial alignment. Familiarity with US GAAP alongside UK GAAP preferred.
  • Demonstrable experience in the media sector (content, advertising, streaming, or production) is a firm requirement. Applications without this background will not be progressed.
  • Comfortable operating with genuine autonomy: able to prioritise high-impact work, build process from scratch, and communicate financial insight clearly to non-finance stakeholders.

Engagement Details

  • Commitment: 2–3 days per week, with flexibility around key reporting cycles and board periods.
  • Day Rate: £800 - £1000 per day.
  • Location: UK-based. Remote-first, with option to work in London Bridge office, and with occasional travel to meet the US team.
  • Reporting To: US-based Chief Executive Officer (NYC)
  • Start Date: Immediate or short notice preferred.

To Apply: Please click apply and respond to the screening questions. For questions, please email rosiecook@amelore.com. Applications close on Friday the 15th of May 5pm BST.
