Graduate Engineer Reports To - Engineering Manager / Project Manager / Senior Engineer Job Purpose - The Graduate Engineer will support the planning, design, coordination, and delivery of engineering projects while developing technical knowledge and practical experience. Working closely with senior engineers and project teams, the successful candidate will assist in ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities Assist with the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects. Support site inspections, surveys, and data collection activities. Prepare technical reports, drawings, calculations, and project documentation. Assist in monitoring project progress, costs, and schedules. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders. Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem-solving activities. Review technical specifications and engineering standards. Support quality control and quality assurance processes. Maintain accurate project records and documentation. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and innovative engineering solutions. Undertake training and professional development towards chartered or professional engineer status. Skills and Experience Essential Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, or related discipline). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Strong organisational and time management skills. Willingness to travel to project sites as required. Desirable Placement or internship experience within an engineering environment. Knowledge of AutoCAD or other engineering design software. Understanding of project management principles. Full driving licence. Personal Attributes Enthusiastic and eager to learn. Self-motivated with a proactive approach. Strong attention to detail.
