The predicted salary is between 45000 - 55000 Β£ per year.

To support the delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure projects by assisting with setting out, quality control, site supervision, and technical documentation, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting Out & Surveying
    • Assist with setting out works in accordance with drawings and specifications
    • Use total stations, GPS, and levelling equipment
    • Conduct as-built surveys and maintain accurate site records
    • Ensure line and level accuracy
  • Site Supervision
    • Support day-to-day site operations
    • Monitor subcontractors and workforce activities
    • Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications, and method statements
    • Assist in resolving technical queries on site
  • Health & Safety Compliance
    • Support implementation of CDM Regulations 2015
    • Assist with Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
    • Promote safe working practices
    • Participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings
  • Quality Assurance
    • Complete Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)
    • Record material deliveries and compliance documentation
    • Maintain quality records and site diaries
    • Support audits and inspections
  • Documentation & Reporting
    • Maintain accurate site records
    • Produce daily/weekly progress reports
    • Assist with technical submissions
    • Support preparation of handover documentation
  • Coordination & Communication
    • Liaise with subcontractors, supervisors, and suppliers
    • Attend site meetings
    • Communicate technical information clearly
    • Escalate issues to Senior Engineer or Site Manager

Person Specification

  • Essential
    • A degree/HNC/HND in Engineering (or similar qualification) or experience equivalent
    • Excellent communication and organisational skills
    • Full UK driving licence.
  • Desirable
    • Knowledge of water or infrastructure projects
    • Experience using total station equipment
    • CSCS card
    • Understanding of CDM regulations
