We’re thrilled to offer an incredible opportunity for a Junior New Product Developer to join our fast-growing, innovative cosmetics and skincare company based in the heart of Knutsford, Cheshire. We supply both private label and branded products to top-tier retailers around the globe, and this role is perfect for someone looking to make a real impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You’ll be an integral part of our New Product Development (NPD) team, where your ideas and contributions will shape the future of exciting cosmetic products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Graphics team to prioritize design and artwork creation.
- Assist in cosmetic colour development, building colour ranges based on seasonal trends.
- Arrange and manage cosmetic and component samples, resolving any issues with creative solutions to ensure high-quality product outcomes.
- Review and test product samples, ensuring all packaging and cosmetics meet sensory requirements and are fit for purpose.
- Support the NPD team to ensure all new products meet customer design briefs and comply with regulatory standards.
- Coordinate and manage the creation of new products, working closely with teams based in the UK and China.
- Actively contribute in design briefings between NPD, Technical, Merchandising, and Graphics teams.
- Communicate effectively with the China team to resolve queries and ensure timely delivery of key information.
- Generate product costings to support customer quotations, including negotiating savings with the China team.
- Provide Project Management cover during team holidays as required.
Skills & Experience:
- A keen interest in cosmetic products and emerging industry trends.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- A creative eye with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to build and maintain strong internal relationships across various departments, particularly NPD, Graphics, Technical, and the China team.
- A collaborative team player who is flexible and enthusiastic.
- Competent IT skills, with proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.
