What you’ll do
- Build genuine, positive relationships with young people
- Provide practical and emotional support tailored to each individual
- Help develop independence, confidence and everyday life skills
- Encourage education, employment, hobbies and community involvement
- Support young people to make choices and have greater control over their lives
- Promote health, wellbeing, dignity and safeguarding
- Contribute to support plans, records and team meetings
- Work alongside families, friends and other professionals
- Be a positive role model with clear, appropriate boundaries
- Support the day-to-day running of the home
What we’re looking for
You’ll need:
- A genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them achieve their potential
- Good communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to stay calm and confident when situations are challenging
- A willingness to work evenings, weekends and unsociable hours
- Confidence working independently and as part of a team
Experience in a support, care or challenging environment is desirable, but your attitude and values matter just as much.
