  • Manage low‐level Employee Relations cases including disciplinaries, sickness absence, and performance management.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and provide regular reporting on headcount, turnover, and absence trends.
  • Support the payroll process by collating statutory leave, leavers, and promotions data.
  • Administer employee benefits including pension, life assurance, healthcare, and Cycle to Work schemes.
  • Ensure new starters are safely recruited in line with Children Care Regulations 2015 and Keeping Children Safe in Education.
  • Assist in developing HR policies and procedures in line with legal requirements and organisational objectives.
  • Minute meetings and provide general support to the HR Manager including drafting letters and preparing documentation.

You will ideally have

  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively and work accurately at speed.
  • Exemplary attention to detail and a high standard of written and verbal communication.
  • Proactive problem solver with a can‐do attitude, able to use initiative and work autonomously.
  • Discretion, tact, and sensitivity, with a clear understanding of the need for confidentiality.
  • Confident in building effective professional relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Genuine interest in HR as a profession and a desire to grow as a subject matter expert.
  • A Diploma in HR or equivalent HR qualification.
  • A minimum of one year of HR administrative experience.
  • Experience of working in a fast‐paced environment managing competing deadlines.
  • Experience working with young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
