You will lead with compassion and professionalism, empowering parents to develop the skills, confidence, and stability needed to provide the best possible care for their children.<\/p>This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference while leading a dedicated team in a fast -paced and dynamic setting.<\/p>Key Responsibilities<\/span><\/span><\/h3>Lead and oversee the day -to -day operations of the Family Assessment Centre, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and compliant environment for families and staff.<\/li>Assess and support parents to promote the safety, wellbeing, and development of their children.<\/li>Safeguard children and parents through effective assessment, care planning, regular reviews, and risk management.<\/li>Support, mentor, and guide parents in developing essential parenting skills and building confidence in their abilities.<\/li>Work collaboratively with families to help them achieve positive outcomes and long -term stability.<\/li>Provide practical advice, emotional support, and guidance tailored to each family’s individual needs.<\/li>Thrive in a fast -paced environment, responding to challenges with resilience, adaptability, and a solution -focused approach.<\/li>Lead, motivate, and inspire the staff team, creating a positive culture focused on high -quality care and continuous improvement.<\/li>Provide leadership and direction during shifts, ensuring consistent standards and effective team collaboration.<\/li>Mentor and support new or less experienced staff, encouraging confidence and professional development.<\/li>Oversee staff recruitment, induction, training, and ongoing development, identifying opportunities for growth and learning.<\/li>Deliver effective supervision, probation support, and performance management to ensure staff feel supported and empowered.<\/li>Act as a positive role model, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to exceptional care and ethical practice.<\/li>Ensure staffing rotas are effectively managed to maintain safe staffing levels and continuity of care.<\/li><\/ul>What You’ll Bring<\/h3>You will be a compassionate and confident leader who is passionate about supporting families and helping teams thrive. (Essential)<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>Either hold or be committed to completing their Level 5 diploma in Leadership and Management for health & social care children & young people services.<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/li>Have a minimum two years' experience working in Family Assessment or a similar field.<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/li>Prioritises the safety and well -being of children.<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/li>Nurturing and supportive, with strong mentoring skills.<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/li>Experienced in safeguarding and creating a stable environment.<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/li>Empathetic, understanding, and encouraging.<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/li>Have experience leading and motivating a staff team.<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/li>Self -motivated and adaptable to a fast -paced setting.<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/li>Able to apply transferable skills from relevant experience.<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/li>Strong communication skills with a high level of empathy.<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/li>Remains calm under pressure.<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/li>Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive, effective relationships with children, parents, and professionals.<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/li>Someone who is committed to a career in supporting families.<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span> <\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/span>
