Product Designer Responsibilities

  • Our Product Designers are critical to delivering user-centred product experiences that have meaningful impact on our client's business objectives.
  • Work across the product lifecycle, encompassing research, UX and UI design.
  • Adapt to various situations, whether requirement heavy agile products or discovery pieces with high levels of ambiguity.
  • Communicate confidently with stakeholders, including C-Suite, and lead design on assigned projects.
  • Build great relationships with clients, often positioned as their trusted design expert.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct user research (discovery and validation) to generate actionable insights that inform product decisions.
  • Translate research into clear deliverables such as personas, journey maps, and recommendations, and communicate these effectively to clients and teams.
  • Understand client goals and business objectives, identifying risks and assumptions while shaping product strategy.
  • Collaborate within agile teams to ensure product backlogs reflect user needs and research insights.
  • Design high-quality user experiences across all fidelities, from early concepts and wireframes to polished visual designs.
  • Lead ideation, exploring multiple creative and functional solutions while considering accessibility and multi-device experiences.
  • Facilitate workshops and collaborate closely with clients, product teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Advocate for strong design principles by articulating decisions, supporting peers, and constructively challenging teams on ethics and best practices.

Product Designer Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Product Designer, UX Designer, or similar role in a digital product environment.
  • Strong user research skills, including planning, conducting, and synthesising discovery and validation work.
  • Ability to turn insights into clear deliverables such as personas, journey maps, and actionable recommendations.
  • Experience contributing to product strategy, including identifying assumptions, reducing risk, and aligning to business goals.
  • Proficiency in designing across multiple fidelities, from wireframes to high-fidelity visual designs.
  • Solid understanding of accessibility and designing for multi-device or multi-channel experiences.
  • Experience working in agile teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g. Product Owners, Business Analysts, developers).
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills, including running workshops and confidently presenting design decisions.
