SHEQ Assistant – Dumfries

Youre an innovative thinker, passionate about the planet and eager to play a role in creating sustainable packaging that keeps the world healthy, fed and working. As part of our world-class, performance-focused team you will have the opportunity to support the EHS Manager at the Dumfries site.

Working Monday Friday 8am 4.30pm for a 37.5 hour week, the right candidate will support the full range of administration. To assist in raising the profile of safety and environmental management across the site.

Key Job Accountabilities

• Assist with the promotion of safety culture / awareness taking into account behaviours and attitudes
• Minute meetings in relation to EHS compliance
• Promote the use of hazard reporting mechanisms to increase reporting / resolution figures
• Assist in co-ordinating fire management on site
• Assist in the improvement of communication with tool-box talks, comms screens, meetings and inductions
• Provide support for the EHS Manager

Qualifications/Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years in a Manufacturing environment (desirable)
• IOSH Managing Safely
• Experience of continuous improvement (desirable)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Be able to handle multiple priorities
• Good written and presentation skills
• Strong IT skills and ability to analyse data
